Better than sex

Seriously, I haven't been this excited in almost a decade.

When my SIL sent me the photos of the Adrian Pearsall 2179-T dining table he found over the weekend, my heart started to pitter-patter. Then I got all weak in the knees. OK, maybe it's not better than sex to you, but wait till you get to be my age!

Go on...tell me you can look at this gorgeous piece of furniture from any angle without feeling at least a little lustful.

    1. I had never seen one like it before either. Isn't every curve glorious? Now we're on the hunt for at least six Adrian Pearsall chairs to make it complete. We found four, but that's simply not enough for this size table.

    1. I knew I couldn't be the only one. My SIL said I had him blushing the other day, the way I was carrying on. :)

  3. That whole setup is pretty darn sexy! I'd take the whole painting/sofa/table/credenza combo.

    1. I was so focused on the table that I hadn't even noticed the other pieces, but they do all look good in the background, now that you mention it! :)

  4. A beauty. Such an unusual design for a dining table. Maybe it's just me but there's a bit of a modern Japanese vibe about it.

    1. Just when you think if you've seen one table, you've seen them all, you find out there just might be something new under the sun. And you might be right about the modern Japanese vibe; I hadn't thought about that.

  5. Gorgeous! Some friends of ours found a Pearsall coffee table at "some random thrift store" in MY neighborhood. I was jealous. Very, very. The hunt is all about lucky timing I suppose.

    1. This one came up on CL, apparently under everyone else's radar, because it was miscategorized, and my SIL was the one to stumble on it first. Like you said, luck does play a big part in this business.

    1. My SIL found a set of 4 of the high-backed ones, but this table needs 6 or 8. The search continues.

  9. Tell the SIL not to forget the six Pearsall 1613-C chairs (and all the other stuff I mentioned) that we have available. I think they were destined to be together!
