The Mid2Mod website

I don't know how many of you have noticed that I added a link to the store's website at the top of my blog, but in case you missed it, I thought I'd share it with you in a post. You can browse through the pictures and get a better idea what we've been doing on all the buying trips we've been making lately. We're still adding pictures, but we plan to add multiple images of each item soon and arrange everything into categories. However, this will do for a now.

Here are some of my favorites items:

12" triangular Austrian bowl

Teak dropfront bar/wall unit

Striped gentleman's chair

Red vase

Desk lamp in the style of Gino Sarfatti

Teak room divider

George Nelson bubble and massive pole lamp

Thonet stool

What are your favorites?

  1. That bowl is fabulous. I hope your shop is hopping with cool cats and kittens needing to stock their hip pads!

  5. We're trying to keep prices reasonable. Even for our designer pieces, we're pricing them considerably below what you'd find them for elsewhere. If we find a really good deal on something, we take a fair mark-up but make sure our customers get good deals too.

  6. @Stacey: Do you know anything about who made the pole lamp? Does yours have a design on the inside cylinder? As for sales...it's been pretty amazing. We opened the doors last weekend while we were still working on the store, without advertising at all, and we sold a console stereo and a dining set and huge vase. Then a customer came back for a Jackson "500" clock. And someone came in yesterday and bought 4 bullet planters. We finally got a bunch of ads up on CL yesterday, but we've yet to advertise in any papers!

  8. Just went to your website. WOW Dana! You have some amazing pieces (due to your amazing taste)! I could really get into trouble in your store. You have so many things I'd love to scoop up. A huge CONGRATs again! Your store looks incredible.

  9. The website is amazing! And the store looks great. I love all of it. I definitely agree that your prices are really reasonable. Personally, I want some of those root bowls, and I'm still dreaming about those safari chairs. There is a gorgeous buffet that I would knock a wall down to be able to fit into my dining room. Or maybe just buy a bigger ranch... Congratulations!

  10. Hmmmm...am wondering how long it would take me to drive a big ole truck to Dallas. Website looks great. Congrats again on good things happening for all of you.

  11. @Tanya: No, I didn't get your email. Did you use the website contact link? If so, it probably went to my SIL.

  12. @adriane: I love the root bowls too. I think they make such a dramatic statement. The things are massive and weigh a ton! We also have some root trays with handles that we'll put out later. They're large...but not nearly as huge as the root bowls.
