In the warehouse: Made in America

We have a number of American-made pieces in the warehouse that can be picked up at great prices. Some are in great condition, and some need a little TLC, but all will look fantastic in the right mid-century home.

Heywood Wakefield step table
More Heywood Wakefield
Kroehler chair
Lane chest

And more birds

  1. The Birds series is fab. I can imagine how they'd look on a living room wall.

    1. At one time my daughter had the large above her fireplace, but this is the first time I've seen a whole group of them.

  2. Love the chest with that lovely lamp. I like Heywood Wakefield, but I feel like it's the kind of thing that needs to be done in small doses. I have two dressers, one with a mirror in my bedroom, but and I thought about getting some heywood nightstands or side tables for next to the bed. OMG right now I have the most obnoxious Hollywood Regency table next to my bed and my bf hates it! He has some non descript mid-century side table. I feel like it's a tug of war of styles in there, and we are still both fighting to keep a piece of ourselves. I think if I matched everything, it would get boring. We would also have nothing to argue about!

    1. I'm always torn by my quirky need for some degree of symmetry and my desire not to be matchy-matchy. I'm getting better, but I still have a few matching end tables and lamps. There may be a complete redecorate in my future though, and that will probably change.

  3. I have the Hey Wake side table, 2 of them, and the corner table to match. Got the set 14 yrs. ago and they look just as beautiful today....quality is quality! Love the Lane modern too. Fabulous bird set, picturing it on my wall...sigh.

    1. Stay tuned then, because my SIL just bought a bunch of Danish credenzas today and is expecting several pieces from the upholsterer on Wednesday. I ought to have some great things to show you soon.

  5. I have the same bird piece as the first pic in our store but not the smaller versions. If I lived closer, I would likely take the Heywood Wakefield off your hands if the price was right! You know me and H/W! :)

    1. I wish I knew who made that bird piece. I see so many people call it a C. Jere, but I'm 99.9% sure it isn't. Do you know? I wish you were closer too. I wish you had this HW too. I know you could make it look as good as the day it was "born." :)

    2. The bird wall sculpture is definitely a Curtis Jere piece.

    3. I've never seen a signed one, and I've never seen a brochure or ad documenting that it was manufactured by Artisan House. Do you have definitive proof? If so, could you share it?
