| Mari Simmulson |
She was immediately employed by Wilhelm Kåge at Gustavsberg. In 1948 she went to work for Upsala-Ekeby, where she became a leading ceramist. Simmulson introduced nitrates to ceramic production at UE and was responsible for some of their most popular pieces.
Simmulson remained with UE until 1972. Some of her most famous designs for the company were characterized by flowers, faces and geometric patterns, such as her Agave, Arnica, Beata and Star series.
Simmulson accepted several public commissions, include Lulea Coal, Uplands Bank and Pharmacia.
