The latest new items in the store are these beautifully refinished solid maple Paul McCobb
Planner Group benches and cabinet. The modular cabinet has grass cloth sliding doors and is shown below on a tall base. It can also be used with one of the lower benches to create an entirely different look.

Another great find was a white Arteluce floor lamp by Gino Sarfatti. It has a leather-wrapped handle, a fully articulating head and a marble base.

I love the doors on the cabinet and the legs on the benches. The lamp is very cool too. x
ReplyDeleteI think the grasscloth doors are really pretty too, and the lamp is a classic.
DeleteSo groovy. Like a droid from Star Wars!
ReplyDelete(I can comment again!)
I think it's interesting that most people think modular furniture is something new, but several designers back then had lines with interchangeable pieces.
DeleteAnd, yes, when I finally decided to leave my settings alone, commenting became a lot easier for everyone! :)
Hi Dana, I love the benches, light and especially that cabinet v.much. Guess what? I bought myself a table today! Will show it off soon x
ReplyDeleteOh, fantastic! Did you buy THE table? I can't wait to see it!
DeleteA give-away! How cool! Let me hustle and enter.
ReplyDeleteThere's still plenty of time. We choose the winners Saturday.
DeleteLovely Paul McCobb peices! I need a bigger house lol!!
ReplyDeleteThe McCobb set would be perfect for interiors in warmer climes; actually, that would be the perfect set for a rest house.
ReplyDeleteYes, they're pretty perfect, period...especially since our refinisher got hold of them. :)
DeleteIt's wonderful pieces like that that make me weep hysterically every time I pass an Ikea. Ya knwo how people say "they dont make them like they used to." Well, I think they "should".
ReplyDeleteThey sure should...but then there would be no disposable furniture, and what would happen to all these greedy corporations that crank out low-quality merchandise so you'll have to buy more in a couple of years? Bless their hearts...
