In the store: Super saucers

Looking for a super svelte pair of chairs? We've got 'em!

Two thin, curved upholstered saucers sit atop skinny metal legs, looking like small spacecrafts out of a 1950s science fiction novel. You can't get any more modern-looking than this. And the fact that they're orange makes them even more appealing.

    1. I haven't sat in them, but I have a feeling they're chairs a 64-year-old woman should avoid, as getting out of some mid-century chairs should be reserved for the young...:) They look perfect for sitting cross-legged in the lotus position and reciting a little Beatnik poetry.

  2. Wow, these are crazy cool! Love the orange, but like Kylie, I'm curious about their comfort? They seems really rigid with that perfect saucer/cone shape. The little pillows on the side just kill me. SO CUTE! Where on earth did you find these? Well... I'm mean are they new or "vintage". :-) Pretty fun, Dana! I could definitely kick back with a cocktail in these.... served to me by my robot, of course!

    1. Come to think of it, they do look a little like something the Jetsons would have in their home. I'm not sure where my SIL found these. I'll have to ask him more about them. They must look vintage to him, because he had me researching them the other day. Unfortunately, I didn't find a thing.

  3. Oooh, those chairs are the coolest. Did the pillows come with them or were they mi2mod additions?

    1. The pillows came with the chairs, and I think they could be used in the center as a cushion too.
