In the store: Poul Cadovius sofa

The latest knockout piece to make its way to the store is this sofa by Poul Cadovius for France & Son. It's a newly refinished woven teak case sofa with brand new nubby orange upholstery, and it is going to knock your socks off.

My SIL has just set up a space for taking photos in what was formerly a storage room at the back of the store. I'm loving the new look of his images. Good job, Joe!

    1. The school district I work for part-time captured 1.5 million pieces of spam last week. What's the deal?

I really love the way the sofa turned out. I had bought that bolt of fabric for myself, but I bought a new sofa, so I let my SIL use it. He said there's enough left for a chair, so I think I'm going to use it to cover the striped recliner and ottoman I posted about when I redecorated my house.

  2. Same, I have tightened comments too! ...back to this sofa! The fabric is very special and an excellent choice for the arm chair, I look forward to that!

    1. The more I think about the chair done in this fabric, the more excited I become about it. I think it will cure what ails that chair entirely. :)

My spam is out of control too so I am keeping the comment moderation on for the time being too. x

    1. Anything orange is cool, as far as I'm concerned. I can't get enough of it.

Sorry to hear about your spam problems too. It wonder what's causing the huge surge.

    1. That sofa would be so cute in miniature! I'd love to see you do that.

  5. That sofa is stunning Dana. I had the cushions on our couch re-upholstered in a very similar fabric - a copy of an original Australian upholstery fabric from the 50's/60's. Nubby too. Gotta love orange. I love the legs on this one.
No spam for me, my little blog's too small to warrant it I guess.
Take care Dana, I'll pop by again when I finish my 'homework' x

    1. Nubby AND orange? That's a combination that's tough to beat.

Hurry back. Your presence is required for a quorum. :)

  6. Am I the only one interested in where you purchased the Nubby AND Orange fabric? There are a couple of upholstery jobs waiting for Wonder Woman's touch. Lack of proper fabric is the sticking point. Is it a secret or can you divulge?

    1. I bought 22 yards of it on eBay for a song. I also find a lot of good buys online from Winterbeachmodern and Modern Fabrics. Miles at Winterbeach is a super nice guy!

    1. I wonder how long it's been since it made its original trip across the Atlantic to the United States.

  8. There's a seller on Ebay under Alpine out of NC? I think that has some nice deals and they will send you swatches for $1 each so you can see and feel before committing. I used them for the 50's kidney sectional I have in house and saved a ton of money!

    1. I went back and checked my eBay feedback, and Alpine is the seller I got it from.
