Since I downsized last year to less than 700 square feet, I am extremely interested in this trend in architecture.

DeleteThe kidling will love this, she is fascinated by 'small' architecture and wants a small home one day. I'd like something a tiny bit larger; I hit the walls enough as it is, lol.
ReplyDeleteI think young people are trending away from McMansions. They seem a lot more concerned about the environment than about impressing people with square feet. Some of these small homes, like the tiny black one on legs, look a little to small to me too. I've found that I'm very happy living in my less-than-700-square feet, but it would seem very crowded to me if I didn't live alone.

ReplyDeleteWe're still talking about building up on the main house, even though we're still looking at larger homes to buy. Four people in a 1200 sf house with only two bedrooms and one bathroom is starting to feel a bit cramped for my daughter and SIL.
DeleteHow cool! I am completely enamored with all the small architecture I have been seeing lately, but have to admit am somewhat afraid hubby will be moving me into one of those teeny tiny room sized houses one day. :)

I was a little afraid that I'd feel cramped when I moved into my small house, but I've loved it so far. So much less to clean...so much more efficient.
