Mid2Mod re-opens!!!

The last time I posted about the store was in late September, and we had just begun the move back to Deep Ellum. Life takes some strange twists and turns, and sometimes all you can do is roll with it. In our case, progress on the store came to a temporary halt when my SIL's older brother Tony was involved in an extremely serious motorcycle accident several weeks ago.

We're happy to say, though, that after a very close call, Tony is home and on the mend. We're also happy to tell you that the new store is finally open for business. We still carry fantastic vintage and new modern furniture and accessories, but we also now stock a variety of small modernist items, including housewares, jewelry, toys, books and more!

Over the next week or so, we will be focusing on getting our permanent signage up, putting some art on the wall, and adding the new products to our website. I will be featuring our new products on the blog soon. Till then, take a peek at our new digs.

      Thanks! We still have a lot of tweaking to do, but after the delay in opening, the important thing was to get started!

    Glad to know that Tony is recovering- motorcycle accidents are so scary.
    Congrats on the new store opening! Is that a perfect blue sofa I see?

      I'll pass that along to Tony. He and some friends were riding home from a weekend trip, and a deer jumped out of 4' high grass right in front of him. He broadsided the deer and then didn't stop flying/rolling/sliding for about 350 feet. He had to be Careflighted to San Antonio and was in ICU for quite some time. When he finally got to come home, his doctor told him just what a close call it really was. We're lucky to still have him!

      As for that sofa...yes, it's pretty perfect. It's the Gus*Modern Atwood, and it comes in coral too!

      Terry, Joe has picked out some really cool gift items to go along with the furniture. Hope you get a chance to stop by. We're back to that more relaxed vibe that the first two locations had, and it's so much more fun!

      Thanks! Joe has really been working hard to get it opened.

      Tony's accident was very scary. He has months and months of surgeries and rehab ahead of him, because he completely crushed all his ribs, clavicle, and scapula on his right side, but he's still here, and that's what's important.
