Part 2: Neighborhood love

Here are more houses in my neighborhood that make me glad we chose to buy in this area.

Stay tuned for more neighborhood love. I'll be out and about snapping new photos again very soon.

    1. It's turning out to be even better than we had hoped. We have a very active homeowner's association which hosts great family activities, a super park where the grandkids love to play just at the end of our block, and nice, friendly neighbors.

    1. It really is a good way to meet neighbors. I had a long conversation with one homeowner who happened to be walking out his front door as I snapped a photo. Of course, he was curious about what I was doing and came out to chat.

  3. Dana, what a gorgeous neighbourhood. Really gorgeous How happy you sound! Hope the house is going well. Do all the homeowners love their houses and the era as much as you? You may make some really good friends.

    1. I think the people who own the MCM style houses in this neighborhood really appreciate them, because they maintain their homes impeccably and haven't made inappropriate changes to the architecture (or possibly have corrected wrongs from the past). The whole neighborhood exhibits a sense of pride. No matter the style, yards are pristine, roofs look like new, paint is fresh...in general, a place where people want their surroundings to be beautiful. We just have a few more minor details to take care of in the main house, and then we will start on my little house. We talked with one custom designer the other day, and his price was a little steep. I may just modify the design of the first one, giving me more closet space/storage. We'll be talking with general contractors soon.
