In the store: Danish twist on the shell chair

Ib Kofod-Larsen alert!!!  I did a post about the Danish designer and architect back in June, and now we have added two of his signature chairs to our inventory. These are his shell back chairs with metal legs, which were rightfully dubbed the "Easy Chair."

These are some of the most beautiful chairs we've ever had in the store. They are truly top-notch.

  1. I've never seen chairs like those before. Just stunning. I won't be surprised if you yourself would decide to buy them.

  2. @I dream lo-tech: I would love to have them in my living room, but my SIL doesn't give a big enough family discount for me to afford them. :)

  3. @Rachael: Thanks! Whoever gets them is going to have a really great pair of chairs, in my opinion.

  5. @Midcenturymadam: They're even more beautiful in person than they are in these pictures. I'm really smitten.

  6. I have one chair like those but with wood tips at the legs.

  7. @John Bachman: Wood legs or just wood tips? I've seen the version in wood instead of iron, but I haven't seen any with wood tips. I'd love to see a photo.

  8. Actually the rubber tips look better than the wood, they are black and about 2" high and 1" wide, kind of clunky looking and surround the iron legs. Atomic Ranch magazine has a few pictures in their back issues. The bottom edge of the wood seat back says "Made in Denmark".
