Milestone: 2nd Blogiversary

Exactly two years...794 posts...and 578,804 pages hits ago, I decided it might be fun to start a blog. I had no idea what maintaining a daily blog entailed or if I'd even have any readers, nor did I know how much I would enjoy writing about mid-century design and growing up "back in the day," how much I would learn by researching the posts or how many wonderful people I would get to know, both locally and around the world.

Today I'm celebrating my second blogiversary, but I'm also celebrating you, my fantastically loyal readers. So settle back, catch up on a few back posts that you've never read before and help yourself to a piece of birthday cake.

And...I don't know if you've noticed how close I am to having 450 followers, but if you read the blog regularly and have been meaning to become an official Google follower but just haven't gotten around to it yet, you could make me really happy by helping me reach another milestone today. How cool would that be?

    1. Thanks, Ton. But are you sure I can't interest you in the tutu, even if I threw in a typewriter to sweeten the deal? I bet you'd be adorable in it...haha Thanks for coming around so often and for instilling in me a fascination for the typosphere. I'll eventually join your ranks, when I find just the right machine.

  13. Well, happy blog-born-day. Very cool. If my calculations are correct, a post per day, right? You are amazing! I have been very much enjoying your blog... furniture and architecture. And your comments too. I really appreciate it your partnership out in the blog-o-sphere and on mid-century! Yay!

    1. Thanks, Rebecca! Yep, a post a day, plus 64 thrown in at odd times. I haven't missed a day since I started. Fortunately, sometimes I have posts written and scheduled a week or two ahead, so even when I've been sick, something goes up on the blog. I'm glad you are finding things you enjoy here, because I very much enjoy your blog and having you as a reader of mine.
