By the 1950s and 1960s, the company had become one of West Germany's leading manufacturers of ceramics. They produced a wide range of forms that were characterized by flamboyant and quirky styles and color combinations that were considered to be of good quality.
Their products were made of white clay and were marked with the image of crossed swords that incorporated the initials D and B as pommels. The markings included form and size numbers and the word GERMANY (generally no W or WEST) in distinctive block capital letters. Pieces can be found with our without the company logo, with or without the word STUDIO, and they are sometimes embossed and sometimes incised.
The best known designers for D&B were Ernst Dümler, Paul Zimmerling and Rudolf Christmann, and the most sought-after designs are Domino, Polar and Saturn.
The company ceased operations in 1992.

Their work reminds me so much of Richard and Marj Peeler's; beautiful!
