In the pop-up shop: Renzo Rutili dresser and night stand

New to the pop-up shop at our interim location is a lovely 2-drawer night stand and an 8-drawer dresser by Renzo Rutili for Johnson Furniture. Both pieces are made of solid cherry with beautifully sculpted bleached walnut legs and have just been expertly restored. The lines and proportions of these pieces are exquisite, and the drawer pulls are especially lovely.

    Dear Dana,

    the desser looks fantastic. I like the dark wood. Cherry is a wonderful wood for unique furniture. I like the special vein.

      Yes, the grain pattern of the wood is beautiful on these pieces.

      Sometimes it's absolutely amazing to me how readily we accept the inferior products made today when we see how far it falls short of what was made just 50 or 60 years ago.
