Another quest

My "quest list" keeps getting longer. It's not just that I want things. I want certain things at a bargain price. It's not that the things I want are all that rare. It's finding them cheap that forces me to practice patience, which has never been my strong suit.

The latest thing that's been added to the list is an orange and white Cathrineholm bowl. See, not that rare. But I want an 11" diameter one in very good to excellent condition. And, as I said, I want it cheap.

Something tells me I'll be waiting a while.

    Good luck Dana! :You might be waiting a while :) ....although I found a pan in this design a while ago at the bottom of a box of other items....very worn though. I love Catherineholm but don't understand why it is just so expensive...esp. when most of it is damaged or covered in rust spots or so badly worn! ...

      Yes, I have an idea that I'll be waiting at least as long as I did for my Wirkkala Pollo or my Russel Wright after dinner coffee pot. Those quests lasted quite a long time before I found them priced right. But what I lack in patience I make up for in tightfistedness. :)

    I'm drooling over that picture, Dana! I hope you get lucky on this one. I don't understand why Catherinholm is so expensive, either. I have 3 pieces but I grabbed them when I happened to get lucky regarding the prices. :)

      That one is in great shape, isn't it? I also want a nice striped one. You're lucky to find some at affordable prices!

    I have a yellow and white striped one, few rusty looking chips at top and scratches inside, sigh. It was super cheap, but like you I want a nice one. So, may I join your quest? :)

    Worth the wait Dana, but waiting can be frustrating sometimes. I know because I have to wait for everything I like (or save up which is equally frustrating)
    I hope it won't be too long until you've got the Cathrineholm bowl of your dreams in your clutches!

      I'm not a particularly patient person, but I've been learning some lessons about waiting lately. My washer went out the other day, so I don't get to buy "pretties" till the necessities are taken care of. As old as I am, I still don't like that particular aspect of being an adult. I'd much rather go for the instant gratification. :)
