Pippa at Ouch Flower came up with a great idea for making new friends and pooling our readership. She challenged her readers to synchronize their watches and simultaneously post a Top 5 Covet List at 7 p.m. Melbourne, Australia time. Her rules were simple: money no object, sourcing no difficulty...in short, an I Dream of Jeannie-type wish. So I present to you...new and old friends alike...the list of mid-century designs that make me brazenly break the Tenth Commandment and covet not only my neighbor's house, but also quite a number of his accessories.
Number 5
Set of 3 Tapio Wirkkala Pollo vases...including the large one in all its 10.5" glory
Number 4
Ralph Rapson hair-on-hide Greenbelt rocker

Loving your top 5 Dana, knew I would! Thanks for joining in! :)
ReplyDeleteThis was really fun! Thanks for coming up with such a great idea.
DeleteHi Dana! The Adrian Pearsall corner sofa is amazing! I want one too! (Next Covet list...) And the Joseph Eichler home with a built in Atrium looks gorgeous.x
ReplyDeleteDonna, there were all sorts of new things to covet on the lists. They made me start wanting things I had never even thought about wanting before. :)
DeleteI definitely turned out to be the crass materialist of the bunch, didn't I? LOL
ReplyDeleteHi Dana, nice to "meet" you. I can lose days looking at Eichler houses on the net. Well not quite, but you know what I mean...
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to having a good look at your blog.
Nice to meet you too, Kylie. I'm the same way about the Eichlers. The fact that most of them are in California and I'm in Texas keeps me from pining too seriously, thank goodness. :)
DeleteThe lamp is awesome and I would love calling it mine...thanks for the giveaway and thanks for an informative, beautiful blog. I always read your posts.
ReplyDeleteyour tastes are pretty expensive!
ReplyDeletehaha One of the criteria of Pippa's Top 5 Covet List is that money would be no object...so I coveted LARGE.
DeleteDana, I just had to laugh when I saw your top 1... yeah, might as well. Lol!
ReplyDeleteI'm really drawn to your number 2!
By the way, I wanted to share with you my covet #1
DeleteIt's probably wishful thinking but hey, I can covet this lamp just like everyone else. ( :
A couple of Adrian Pearsall sofas have come and gone at the store, but nothing like my #2 Covet. A girl can dream!
DeleteWell, we can always dream, and I am sure at least one of the things on this list will be yours some day!
ReplyDeleteAbout the only one I'm fairly sure of landing someday is one of the small Pollo vases. The rest are truly the stuff of dreams.
DeleteCool stuff, but insane prices. I couldn't even fathom paying that much for anything, but I guess there are buyers out there who have more money than sense. I'm sure your SIL will find one of these soon for a pittance. He's got the gift.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't imagine paying those prices either, so I'm predicting that I'm doomed to the life of a shameful coveter :)
DeleteI imagine you're right about my SIL finding some of those things eventually. He does have that knack...but I'll never be able to afford any of them.
That Pearsall sofa is to die for!! Would it ever look great in that Eichler home!! Drooling all over...
ReplyDeleteI would love to run across that sofa out in the wild. What a find that would be!
DeleteOh man oh man your taste is excellent. ::::Sigh::::
ReplyDeleteI think it's called champagne taste on a beer budget...LOL
DeleteWow, that Adrian Pearsall sofa is quite something - we'll take one of those please!
ReplyDeletePretty amazing, huh? :)
