Best of Dallas: Eames chairs and apple pie

For the past couple of years, we've asked you to nominate us in the Dallas Observer Best of Dallas contest. This year, nominations ended, the finalists were announced, and WE MADE THE TOP FIVE in our category!!!  We are now really, truly in the running for Best Furniture Store in Dallas.

We're up against IKEA, West Elm, Weir's and Lula B's West...strong opponents all. We're thrilled to have made the cut, but now we need your vote more than ever. It's very easy to do. Just go to the Dallas Observer site, register, then scroll down to the orange-tabbed categories and find Best Furniture Store (the fifth ballot in the orange tabs). Click on Mid2Mod, and you're done. It will take a few seconds of your time, but it will mean the world to us.

Remember...a vote for Mid2Mod is a vote for the entrepreneurial spirit, Eames chairs and apple pie (not necessarily in that order).

It's time for the Dallas Observer's Readers' Choice awards again. The nomination round is going on until August 7, and we'd really appreciate your visiting the site and casting a vote for us as Best Blog and Best Furniture Store.

Best of Dallas time again

The Dallas Observer is holding its annual Best of Dallas poll again, and you may have already noticed my sidebar link to their site. If you think Mid2Mod deserves to compete with other Dallas bests, we would love for you to nominate us, if you haven't already. Just follow the link above or click the image on the sidebar, scroll down to Numbers 62 (Best Vintage Store) and 65 (Best Furniture Store) and type "Mid2Mod" into the boxes.

We appreciate all the support you give the blog, our Facebook page and the store.  Almost two years ago, when we were discussing whether or not Joe should quit his job and open a store, your encouragement helped him make that life-changing decision, and since our first day of business in March of 2011, you have helped us grow...much faster than we ever dreamed possible. For that you have our heartfelt thanks.
