He developed and patented a new technique for making porcelain called sgrafo. He put two or three layers of different colored porcelain on top of one another and then notched the surface, allowing the varied colors to show. He was the only one doing this process in the 1950s and 1960s.
The Korallen series was produced in the 1960, as was a collection of animals figurines.
Müller retired in 1995, and Sgrafo Modern is no longer in business. Only a few of his organic and imaginative pieces were exported at the time, yet they are highly sought after today.
