In the store: Eames, Saarinen and more

The store has so many new and beautiful things that it's hard to know where to start. Wherever you look, there's another iconic shape to amaze and delight...designs by Charles and Ray Eames, George Nelson, Eero Saarinen, Alvar Aalto and Paul McCobb abound. Here's a look.

      At this point, I'm accustomed to my SIL's great finds, but for him to put this many designer pieces in the store at one time blows my mind a little.

    You have the most amazing pieces in house! Love them all and especially that brutalist wall sculpture! I'm getting ready to take in my recently finished Adrian Pearsall dinette set today. It turned out really great!

      It's especially cool because it's such an old model with the original rocker base, not the reproduction bases you so often see.

    Wow, so much beauty in one place- amazing pieces, Dana! I was just telling a friend and colleague today how much I wanted a Carrara tulip table for my new kitchen. I so wish I had your shop here! These pieces are all amazing, and that brutalist wall sculpture just takes the cake!

      A Carrara tulip table would be perfect for your new kitchen. If it makes you feel any better, ours are side tables. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you'll find a beautiful marble tulip dining table soon.

    Great pieces! I'm still on the look-out for a George Nelson dresser. Let me know if you guys find one. You seem to find so many great pieces I'm hoping one will fall in your lap. ... or at least in the back of your truck!!!

    The Brutalist wall sculpture! It's love! That thing (sacrilege calling it a thing!) would cost a bomb to post to Australia, wouldn't it?! Gee it's beautiful Dana. How lucky you are to be surrounded by furniture etc of this calibre.

      That wall sculpture is really large, so you could probably buy a house for what it would cost to ship it to Australia!

    I keep seeing these brutalist metal wall sculptures. They really catch my eye. Probably bad fend shui. I'll have to look that up.

    How on earth does he do it? I have always pined for a tulip table. The red marble one is eye-boggling. Do you have customers who keep coming back to you? Or do you find people buy one piece and then they're happy? Do customers send you photos of their furniture in situ? I really think I missed my calling in life.
