In the store: Chairs, chairs, chairs

We have new chairs in the store in styles to suit almost any taste. High-backed upholstered dining chairs? Check! Deep, comfortable club chairs? Check! Low-backed wraparound dining chairs? Check!

If you prefer a fully upholstered dining chair with a tall back, we have a set of four Adrian Pearsalls that fit the bill. They have been newly recovered and have beautiful bases and legs.

If you're looking for glamorous club chairs you can sink into that just happen to be newly reupholstered in a luscious deep olive green velvet with contrasting piping and have a classy pedigree, then these Edward Wormley designs for Dunbar are just what you need.

However, if a more classic Scandinavian look is what you want, we have five Erik Kirkegaard Model 52 Compass chairs that should please. These chairs, produced in 1956 by Høng Stolefabrik, were inspired by Hans Wegner's JH502 chairs, but were sold at a much more affordable price.

In the store: Chairs, chairs, chairs...and a couple of tables

I've been so busy moving that I've neglected the store a little. In my absence (mentally, if not physically), things have not been standing still, not by a long shot. It seems that chairs have been in abundance, with an occasional table or two popping up. Take a look:

PS: Sorry this originally had no photos. What with visits by Grandson #1's teacher and the plumber, I got sidetracked, and an incomplete post that I thought I had plenty of time to finish went live automatically.

Dux in a row

We just got in a set of four Compass chairs by Erik Kirkegaard for Dux. We'll be reupholstering them, as someone apparently got distracted in the middle of the job, which is why two are upholstered in vinyl, and two are upholstered in fabric over a thicker cushion.

These chairs look as amazing in profile as they do head-on, and while most of us try to avoid turning our backsides to the camera...most of us of a certain age, at least...the rear view of these distinguished older ladies still looks great.

In spite of upholstery just begging to be replaced, these are some gorgeous chairs. We're selling them at a reduced price this weekend only, and the price will go up when they've been recovered, so if you're in the neighborhood today or tomorrow, stop by and take a look.
