Store news: Nominated for Best of Big D

For the first time, the store is one of the nominees for the best vintage or antique furniture stores in Dallas in the D Magazine Best of Big D contest for 2014. We're extremely pleased to have been nominated and would appreciate your support.

Voting runs till March 30, and you can vote everyday. To make that easy, I've added a button at the top of the right-hand navigation bar. The button looks like this (I know, it's huge, so I'm stating the obvious...but I want you to vote...and then vote again the next day!). Clicking on it will take you directly to the ballot:

Animal House

A few weeks ago, my SIL asked me to do a little clean-up and cosmetic work on a large vintage chalkware zebra he had found. He said a local magazine wanted to use it for a photo shoot the next day. He picked up the piece the next morning and never mentioned it again.

A few days ago, quite by accident, I ran across the article in D Magazine that featured our four-legged friend and thought I'd share it with you. I'll have to give my SIL a bit of a hard time about not showing me the write-up. I still love to see the store's name in print.
