I just ran across some wall hooks on sale in the latest Design Within Reach catalog. They're called Gym hooks, and in spite of the name, they're for hanging jackets, hats and towels, not for exercising. Like the Eames Hang-It-All, these hooks are colorful and fun.
They were designed in 2012 by Swedish designer Staffan Holm, and if I had seen these before decorating my new bathroom, I would have used them instead of a traditional robe hook and towel rod. The 3 3/4" size is on sale at DWR for $19.20 and comes in black, coral and white. The 5" medium size sells for $27.20 and comes in aubergine*, gray and petrol. The 7" large size comes in natural ash and sells for $33.60. Catching these great hooks at a marked down price does indeed put them in reach of even the most frugal shopper.

*Have you seen aubergine on as many websites as I have lately? It must be the latest color to make a comeback. Quite by accident, because I'm certainly no trend-setter, I have it in several places in my living room...in a print above the sofa, in a Fenton gourd vase on a side table and in a flat bowl that I've had forever, which is sitting on another side table.
