Lindberg is probably best known for his Berså, Spisa Ribb and Terma tableware lines, but he also designed glass for the Målerås glassworks, collaborated with textile designer Astrid Sampe, illustrated author Lennart Hellsing's book of rhymes for children and even designed a television for Luma.
During his long career, he was awarded several gold medals and the Grand Prix at the Triennale Exhibitions in Milan.

Thanks for igniting my Stig crush again, what amazing designs, my fav is the Bersa but the leaf bowls are a very close second! Makes we want to get my fingers in clay again! :)
ReplyDeleteI have a Stig crush too, but finding pieces that I can afford is a challenge. One of these days I'll find a bargain, I'm just sure of it. I want one of the leaf bowls or one of the horses.
DeleteThe closest I will come, is the shard of Stig pottery, Bersa design, currently hanging around my neck.
DeleteSagen take the shards and encase them in silver, to make pendants, you can buy online!
the leaf plate and the bowl are a cool thing...loved the curtains!
ReplyDeleteand how could i not mention the coolest tea pots!!
ReplyDeleteI think those pots are amazing too!
DeleteGreat post, I have yet to find one of his designs in the wild...
ReplyDeleteI haven't run across any either. What I see on eBay, I can't afford.
DeleteDrooling over these! Nice roundup :-)
ReplyDeleteGlad you enjoyed the post. I hope to see you around on a regular basis. :)
DeleteTelevision for Luma is a wow!
ReplyDeleteIsn't that a cool little thing?
DeleteActually, he never graduated. But he was talented enough to make it on his own. I know, he is/was a relative of mine.. but nowadays its so expensive to try to get hold of anything Stig made that its almost impossible for a guy like me.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing that information about your relative. I love his work, but some of it is a little to expensive for me too.
