In the next few days, I will announce the next big store giveaway. Last year, my SIL gave away a beautiful gray wool Womb style chair and an authentic Noguchi Cyclone chair. This giveaway promises to be even better.

The winner will be chosen from people who have liked our Facebook page, with an extra chance to win if you're a Google follower of this blog.

It's easy to be a site member. In the Google Followers box to the right of this post, click on Join this site. Once you have set up a Google account, click Follow publicly, and you're done. If you're not already a member, now might be a good time to sign up. Then stay tuned for more details about the giveaway.

  1. The Poul Cadovius wall unit is simply exquisite. It's a work of art all on its own.

    1. That piece is 13 feet long. I'd love to have a house that could accommodate a wall unit that large! Cadovius designed some of the most beautiful wall units to come out of that period, I think.

  2. I agree with both of you, the wall unit is gorgeous and yes, Cadovius really is the master of some of the most beautiful wall units!! I looove the Vodder credenza too, those Danes, huh?

    1. I hadn't really noticed till you mentioned it, but the Danes dominate this post, don't they?

  3. I'd push an old lady over for one of those 5-bay wall units. And then I'd name my fifth child Hans Wegner. Then I'd help the old lady to her feet because I'm not usually in the habit of pushing over old ladies.

    1. I was fearful that you had spun out of control over the wall unit, but I was relieved to see that you came to your senses quickly. I was about to start looking for a safe place to stand that was well out of your way, since I'm a little long in the tooth. As for the Hans Wegner part...if I ever have a third grandchild, be it male or female, I'm going to insist on that name.

  4. The sideboard and rocking chair truly made my day! Hehe, the Great Scot and I are working on our house and I've talked him into midcentury modern! Yay!

    1. Oh, what fun! I can't wait to see what you choose, because you have such a great eye for style. You and the Great Scot will have such a good time searching for pieces together.

    1. I think Frankie Sputnik is a pretty cool name. If I ever have another child, I think I'll name it that. ;) (I don't think I've ever told you that I had an Aunt Frankie, but everyone called her Honey.)

  7. Hi Dana, I know this isn't the right place for this question but for some reason I can't access your email...
Tomorrow we are going to look at a sideboard made by Nils Jonsson for Troeds. I think it's one of his Arild's, and I'm just wondering if you can give me a heads-up on price. I would really appreciate your help and advice on this if you've got time.
(it's in beautiful condition and in teak)
    Thanks in anticipation, Kylie x
