In the warehouse: This and that

Here are a few miscellaneous pieces from our warehouse. We sell from there by appointment only, and warehouse prices are considerably lower than our store prices. You can catch items that we haven't restored yet and save, but sometimes you have to move fast. Once we've invested money in refinishing or reupholstering...or both...prices go up considerably.

I'm fascinated by those futuristic-looking marble, glass and aluminum side tables. They don't really fit the style of my home, but there's something about them that I find irresistible.

  2. Even though newer, items like those marble and glass tables tend to work well with some of the MCM merchandise. We used to have a store here in Tampa (Galloways) that specialized in really nice high end modern styled pieces. I have a kidney shaped loveseat and a black "loop" chair in black that were initially purchased there that looked great with the LeCorbusier lc4 chaise. I say looked as the chaise has gone on to a new home and I'm guessing the other pieces will be moving along before long! I don't have the luxury of a warehouse, but I do keep a book of pending available pieces at the store and it's amazing how much I've sold before it got to the floor!

    1. Since we carry Gus*Modern furniture in addition to our vintage pieces, we're all about mixing the old and the new. We find that it works very well together.

  3. I really love the "wishbone" mirror, but alas... no wall to hang it on *sigh*

    1. But just think...when the new addition is completed, you'll have the fun of decorating all that new space! :)

  4. How much fun is seeing all this stuff in the 'flesh'? I would just stand around and pet it and smile.
