Almost the same colour as our house now Dana.Much nicer and I LOVE your orange door!p.s. picks up your slate porch floor tiles v.nicely too btw.
Me again, I thought it was dark grey not green, so our houses are not the same colour after all Dana. Silly me! Next time I need to read the title and put my glasses on! I still really like your new paint job though.
Kylie, it's a dark grayish green, so you weren't really wrong. At some times of day, it looks entirely gray, and at others, you can see the green distinctly.
It looks SMASHING!
It's like coming home to a new house! :)
It looks excellent. I hope the neighbours don't copy you! Style-setter! Orange door is perfect and I bet cheering everytime you come home!
I've wanted an orange door for the longest time, and I don't know why I waited so long.
Dana, It's Gorgeous! Without the shutters it looks more mid-century modern! Love your organge door too.
I knew taking the shutters off would change the looks of the house, but I never expected it to make such a big difference!
Looks Great, Dana! The orange door really pops. I like that hardware too.
I've had the hardware for several years, but the black door made the porch so dark that it really wasn't noticeable from the street. You'd think brushed nickel would show up better on black, but I think it really looks better on the orange. :)
How great to see "Casa Dana", your house looks wonderful! Love the new color scheme!
Coming home to a house that looks so different has really motivated me to do other things. I've been planting flowers on the patio like crazy! :)
Love it! Our house is similar colors with an orange door. That door makes me happy every time that I come home to it.
There's just something about an orange door, isn't there? Who knew it could affect your mood so much? :)
I love your house. The paint job looks fantastic. The orange door is icing on the cake.
I had all those wooden blinds to contend with when choosing colors, and the orange door seemed to be a perfect solution. I wanted something in the same color family as the wood, but a little darker. I saw that chip and immediately knew it was the one! The green was a lot harder to choose.
Love the new look! That orange door made me smile :)
It makes me smile every time I pull into the driveway or go out to get the mail. :)
WOW! It's not only beautiful but you got that done FAST! I absolutely LOVE it Dana! I have always loved the look of painted brick. I guess I'm drawn to the texture. Perfect color choices and like everyone else that door is out of sight! Now if the neighbors paint anything orange on their houses.... well, it might be time for a neighborhood meeting. HA HA HA! Nick is right, the hardware on your door is to die for. But I love the little tree with the mix of orange ball ornaments. Nice touch!!MERRY CHRISTMAS! This was a great gift FOR YOU!!!
The painters were incredibly fast! They got everything done in less than 2 days and did a great job. The interior is next, and they will definitely get my business.Yes, if anything orange shows up on my street, I'm protesting...LOL My neighbor a couple of houses down is a girl after my own heart, and she painted her front door chartreuse. So far, no one has copied her color, even though it looks great. I think she and I are the most daring painters on the block, so my orange is probably safe too.
HOw very Chic! I love it!
I don' think anyone will have trouble finding my house anymore...LOL
Looks awesome Dana. I love the grey green. The orange door is pretty over the moon too. It seems like this took no time at all. Such a cheerful look with the orange door and the decorated tree next to it. I am debating chartreuse vs. orange. With me chartreuse would be so expected. I am kind of thinking orange!
My neighbor's chartreuse door looks very cool, but I'm loving this orange. It makes me really happy every time I look at it. I'm sure you'd be happy with orange too.
Knock Knock! That's a very cool orange door Dana! I'm very pleased for you! :)
I had to laugh when I read "Knock Knock." Grandson #1 is into knock-knock jokes right now. His favorite: Knock, knock. Who's there? Orange. Orange who? Orange you glad I didn't say banana? Every time he tells it, he laughs so hard...and he expects us to as well. :)
Every family needs a comedian! :) ....too cute!
Oh Dana! I love your new paint. Now I sure as heck hope those neighbors don't go copy catting you. *lol*Your door looks fabulous. I love having a "Stand out" color door. It let's everyone in the neighbor hood know who the FUN people are. =D
If the neighbors copy-cat me again, I'm going to paint polka dots on their houses at night...LOL
Ah so the rumours were true!!....you have a FAB orange door!....just had to come over and see for myself!!. That colour combo!...Orange is my favourite colour so much so that when i was a kid i called myself Allison Orange (my family name is Brown). I collect orange glassware and once had a nasty self tanning accident that rendered me your front door colour!!....and i didnt mind!. I just love that your house will now be known as the one with the orange door.Allison xps shutters be gone!!
I suspect that most of the rumors that have circulated about me over the years were probably true, but the orange door one is definitely a fact. I think I had that same self-tanning accident...pumpkin colored ankles and feet. I love that you called yourself Allison Orange, and now I have to see your orange glassware!
Your door is awesome. I love orange and I would indeed be happy to come home to this!
I expect that even on days when I'm not happy, one look at the door will change my mood. :)
I love it! Such a big change from the earlier colour. The orange door matches perfectly and I love the little tree with orange balls. Super festive and stylish.xx
I'm in love with it too. I think it looks like a totally different house now. We had to cut down a big shrub that our drought killed over the summer, so we had the perfect place for the little Christmas tree.
WoW! Looks amazing & love the pop of color!!!
We're about to start construction on a freestanding flat-roof apartment behind the house, and we're going to use that orange on some 3-inch metal trim at the roofline. I think it will really look good!
