The third annual Modtober "Spooktacular" sale is in full swing at the store in honor of Halloween, one of my SIL's favorite holidays. Every year he drastically marks down some fabulous pieces, some more than 50% off, and this year is no exception.

  1. OMG Dana!
    Would he ship to Australia?
    (I'm serious)

    1. He just shipped several pieces to Hong Kong, so I'm sure he would...but I have no idea how much it would cost you. He'd be happy to try to find the cheapest shipping possible, I'm sure. If you want to contact him directly, just email him at Tell him you're one of my blogging friends! :)

  2. Prices so great it's scary! OH I so wish I were closer!

    1. He really starts slashing prices around Halloween time...or maybe he gets out the Texas chainsaw and goes after them. Either way, it's pretty scary!!! :)

  3. Quite a sale, I'm sure those pieces will be gone in no time.
What an awesome brutalist cabinet-credenza, I like it a lot.

    1. Yes, this sale generates a lot of interest every year. I've noticed several comments about that brutalist piece.

  4. The Brutalist cabinet. Someday I am going to own a nice piece. I need smaller scale though.

    1. I just looked at it again. What are the dimensions and please don't let me do this.

    2. You know I don't have any self-control when it comes to buying things! Here are the dimensions:

      Credenza: 66"W x 19"D x 24"H

      Bookcase: 36"W x 11"D x 30"H

If you need to ask Joe any questions, you can reach him directly at or call him at 214-782-9005.

  5. If we hadn't bought a new sofa a few months ago, I'd be coveting the Gus modern. Oh those lines! What a fantastic sale, lucky locals! Lol.

    :) Pam

    1. That's the style of Gus sofa I bought for myself, except mine is in a dark color...a mixture of black and tan. I really, really like it.
