That's exactly what I thought when I bought my dark, neutral-colored sofa. They're such large investments that I wanted to be able to change color schemes completely in the future just by changing pillows. My SIL says this gray has a tiny bit of a lavender tint, but I'll have to see that for myself. It looks very gray to me, and he is sometimes color challenged. :)
