True Modern

We're considering another line of furniture for the store...True Modern.

Take a look at the fabric colors the company offers:

And here are some of their best-selling pieces:

Circa chair

Dane sofa

Dane corner sectional sofa

Luna double bumper sofa

Jackson sofa

Hamlin chair

So what you you think? Does this line have some promising pieces? I'm particularly excited by the broad range of fabrics. Most of the other lines we carry have a nice selection of neutral colors, but they don't offer many bright colors. And, to tell the truth, I'm kinda falling in love with the Luna double bumper sofa. I think this line might have something for everyone.

  1. Yes, that one and the grey Dane, they're both modern, but still timeless enough to be combined with pieces of teak, for instance. I agree, the color choices are amazing!!

    1. I always have the teak, walnut and rosewood in mind when I look at a piece of new modern, because if it's not going to work with my vintage modern pieces, it's not for me.

  2. I really like those colors and fabirc. They are great. The furniture is sleek and timeless. I once had a sofa like the Dane. The color matches the Berry shown in your colors and the fabric looked the same. I wonder did I have a real one or a copy.

  6. Oooh nice. Love the Circa chair and the Dane and Luna sofas. They have some fantastic colours....love the texture too. I have a sofa in almost an identical colour and weave to the circa chair...the colour goes really well with teak, pottery, plants, and artwork.

  12. Superior Quality Building Materials The world's tallest modular building Anyone who thinks that modular construction is unsafe or shoddy clearly hasn’t heard that the new tallest building in the world, Sky City One, is set to be built solid construction from start to finish in just 90 days. How? They’re using modular building techniques.

At their core, regardless of the techniques used to build it, every house is made up of raw building materials. When those materials are of a lower quality, the whole structure suffers, but high quality materials are the foundation for a solid home. Modular manufacturers hold an envious position new house when it comes to ordering building materials. They require so much lumber that they become the most important clients that lumber retailers have. As such, the retailers make sure that they keep the manufacturers happy by providing them with their highest quality materials

The general impression on modular homes used to be that they were created with inferior workmanship, but since the industry has evolved over the past few decades, modular homes have become known increasingly not only for their affordability, but also for their superior realization CLT house construction quality. This is due to a few major factors: access to superior quality building materials, construction in a controlled environment, factory-quality inspections, and the need for each module to be so structurally sound that it can survive the trip over highways.

Permits and approvals take longer than most first-time home builders will expect, but despite the common misconception, it generally isn’t any more or less difficult or time consuming to get permits for a modular home. The first major difference in our laminated wood comes when the actual construction begins. With site-built construction, all site prep and foundation work must be completed before the actual house can be built since the framing for the house must be built on top of a finished foundation.

Using modular construction on the other hand, work on the house can take place at the same time as the foundation is being prepared. Since modular homes are constructed in a controlled factory environment Cross-lamination they are not susceptible to delays due to weather or insufficient, sub-par, damaged, or stolen building materials. Even assuming not a single unexpected delay takes place on a site-built home, it will still take longer to construct than if it was built using modular construction.

Finally the modular home gets set on the foundation and your builder connects the utilities and does all of the on-site work necessary to get you moved in! All while the site-built home cross laminated timber builders is still twiddling their thumbs, waiting for it to stop raining.

  13. I used to have my home-based marketing agency, but as the time team and company members increases as you can not do anything by yourself!
At that particular time, I rented another house and contact FMGI to make it as a workspace, so now I have two houses and the service provided to me was excellent
