Designed by Dorothee Becker in 1969, the
Uten.Silo I provides the ultimate in modern organization. A smaller version, the
Uten.Silo II, came out in 1970. Still produced by Vitra, the organizer boards are available in chrome, white, black and red.

I have always wanted one of these Dana - ever since I saw a vintage yellow one in a child's bedroom in a magazine.
ReplyDeleteI'd love a black one in my kitchen...but I'm not sure I love being organized quite that much. At $475 for the large size and $395 for the small one (plus another $575 if you want chrome), I'll just have to be disorganized. :)
DeleteI'll be waiting a while for mine then :(
DeleteI'll probably be waiting forever.
DeleteDo you think I could use one of these for typewriter parts? (:
ReplyDeleteSure...Can't throw those parts around just anywhere, can you? They deserve the best. :)
DeleteOh yes, a black one for my kitchen too, please!! At that price, I'll have to do some serious convincing, though:-)
ReplyDeleteBoth our kitchens would look great with a black one!
DeleteI've always wanted one as well ... surely you can't put a price on organisation?
ReplyDeleteApparently Vitra things organization is very valuable!
DeleteVery cool, Dana. Too pricey for me, but very cool!
ReplyDeleteToo pricey for me too. It's one of those things I'll admire from afar.
