This is an interesting, yet scary thought if you live in Brooklyn right now. Not that the hipster capital is a bad place, I'm just not sure some of the values I see here are very valuable for the future! There are a bunch of things going on though, that are pretty cool and due for a change forward. One of them being rooftop gardening and farming.
I'd love to know more about the hipster culture in your area. Maybe I'm wrong, but here it seems to be more of a "Let's dress in vintage clothing and have lots of cocktail parties and go to all the right art events" movement rather than anything of any lasting sociological or political significance.
