ReplyDeleteHer biological inspirations are very interesting...and, I'm sure, a little unsettling to some. The first piece was inspired by acne and the second by osteoporosis. There are others inspired by cancer cells, psoriasis, scars and syphilis. The biological erosion series was inspired by a parasitic virus eating away at the host. Who would have thought you could find beauty in some of these phenomena?
