In the store: Cityscape makeover
A few weeks ago, my SIL picked up several pieces from the Cityscape collection that Paul Evans designed for Directional. Two of the benches needed a bit of a pick-me-up, and they're back from the upholsterer with beautiful new navy blue mohair velvet cushions. I think they look absolutely luscious.

The metal is an acquired taste. Most pieces seem to have some flaws in the metal.
ReplyDeleteYou'd have to have a certain aesthetic for these pieces, but many people love them. I've found that almost any piece of vintage furniture is bound to have flaws...wood, upholstery, metal, it makes no difference. When that's a problem, complete restoration is an option.
DeleteI'm not a fan of this design, but I can see how it can fit into a "Lucy" setup, as you put it. I bet they's sell.
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of warmer decor too, but these pieces do look fabulous in very sleek contemporary homes.
DeleteTo quote "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying"- "They're sleek, and chic, and magnifique, with sex beyond endurance!"
ReplyDeleteThat's got to be one of the best quotes EVER!
