We just put one set of Salterini chairs on the floor that are sure to put a smile on your face and a bright spot in someone's back yard. They were designed by Maurizio Tempestini, and they look fabulous in their new powdercoat finish in emerald green (Pantone's color of the year for 2013).
The other set is the Model 39 Casino chair by Homecrest in a flamingo pink. They're both knockouts!

I love the green ones. They look very nice and comfortable!
ReplyDeleteEvery Salterini chair I've ever sat in has been extremely comfortable.
DeleteSo fun. Do the new owners ever send in pictures of things in their homes? I'd love to see these babies hanging out on a gorgeous deck or patio. Have a great weekend! Cheers - CT (PS - Pantone color for 2014 is my favorite blue!!!)
ReplyDeleteOccasionally people will send us pictures, and we post them on our Facebook page. Sombody's patio or deck will be transformed into Party Central with these babies.
DeleteWhat bright colors. I'm sure they'll sell quick.
ReplyDeleteAnother off-topic: May I suggest that your "Back in the Day" series be typecasted? It just really fits plus it's a chance for you to exercise your excellent typewriting skills. Just some random idea. ( :
That's a very good idea. I've been trying to think of more ways to include typecasts. Thanks for the suggestion!
DeleteLove these Salterini chairs. We found a pair of cantilever rockers several years ago at an estate sale and bought them since they were so comfortable (paid $6 each!). Recently, happened across 2 more (1 cantilever, 1 fixed leg) at another estate sale and bought them for $40! http://goldberg60.blogspot.com/. Am on the lookout for one more cantilever to round out our collection. Also have the chaise lounge attachment for one of them. Now we have to decide on a color to paint them.....
ReplyDeleteGreat prices on those pieces! We had the chaise attachments for some we sold about two years ago but haven't had any since.
DeleteDid you have these restored or did you do it yourself? How much are you asking for them?
DeleteIf I'm not mistaken, these pieces are on consignment. They came to us already powdercoated, but we do have a company that does sandblasting and powdercoating for us. We don't restore anything in-house anymore. Each set is priced at $2000. That's why I said you got a great price on yours! :)

Oh I know we got great prices on these pieces. Being in the Wash DC area, I expect to find more eventually. The surprising thing is how little people know about this furniture. Good for me! I am going to look into power coating. That hot pink looks good!
DeleteSalterini is fairly well known around here. People ask for it by name, and I haven't ever seen bargains like you got, even at estate sales or thrift stores. Powdercoating is fairly inexpensive here, and the good thing is that it lasts so long. I have some Woodard pieces that I've spray painted a million times, and they look awful. I've got to have them sandblasted and powdercoated before next summer.
