Orange slices

The latest addition to our inventory is this cheery Salterini patio set. The classic "orange slice" style has been freshly powder coated in...what else? Mod orange!

Wouldn't these be fun to have for your next cookout?

    1. Your calling dibs on the set is duly noted, and you've also become the first Aussie follower to use the word "barbie" on my blog. A real milestone...:)

    1. I have a fairly rare set of Russell Woodard patio furniture that Joe has been trying to talk me into painting orange, and I've steadfastly refused. This is giving me pause. :)

    1. I think so too. Joe is using a new powder coating company, and they did an outstanding job on these.

    1. There's something about a Salterini set that hardly anyone can resist. They sell as fast as we get them in the store. This is the first set Joe has painted a bright color. It's going to be interesting to see how fast they sell compared to the usual black or white.

  7. And the West Nile virus spray will wash through the mesh.

    1. I guess that started last night. Since I don't live in Dallas County, I didn't get sprayed.

    1. If you sat down in one of those chairs in your bright orange dress, we wouldn't be able to see you. Perfect camouflage! :)

  9. I am fan of anything saucer chair esque. Love the orange, and the fact that the whole patio set is still together is fantastic!! I have never seen a double chair like that before. Its like a saucer love set.

    1. I've got to believe that most of these sets that survive 60 years intact must have been passed down through one family that took very good care of them. Otherwise, over all these decades, they probably would be scattered to the wind.

    1. I agree. I'm sold if anyone so much as mentions the word "orange" in passing. No hard sell necessary for me.

  11. Love these in orange! I have a Salterini Orange slice patio set that has been passed down to me from my Aunt. I am missing one of the 26"h chairs and the little table. I have the loveseat and patio table with only 3 chairs now. I would love to buy 1 chair and small table. They seem hard to find. Any suggestions?

    1. We find most of our sets on Craigslist, but we rarely find singles of things. It wouldn't hurt to put a CL notification app on your phone so you'll know if any Salterini pieces come up in your area.
