In the store: Magnificent dining tables

We have three dining tables in the store now that deserve mention. The first is a teak draw leaf table manufactured by the Danish company Mogens Kold. With the leaves extended, it is 90" (229 cm) long. Closed it is 51" (130 cm) long. It has been completely restored and has a wonderfully thin profile.

The second is this Arne Vodder piece, which extends from 59" (150 cm) to 92" (234 cm) and also has a beautiful rounded edge and thin profile. If you read the post about the Arne Vodder chairs, you saw this table, but this gives you a much better look at it. This table has also been expertly restored.

And for an about-face in style and country of origin, we have this American designed piece by Florence Knoll. It has the original base with a 60" (152 cm) custom ebonized oak top.

    1. It's so practical too, since it can be used in large or small dining areas.

  2. I have a coffee table I have been trying to identify for months. The top has the same profile as the Knoll table you show here, so I did a google search. The legs on it look like the Nakashima for Knoll splayed legs. I wonder if someone put together a hybrid?

    1. I'd love to see a picture of it. Jens Risom designed a series for Knoll that included some round tables with splayed legs similar to the ones on the Nakashima coffee table with upturned ends and splayed legs, but I've only seen dining tables. I don't know if the series included coffee tables.

  4. Dana,

You have posted in the past about the Kofod-Larsen easy chairs. Like your experience it seems like when it rains it pours. I recently purchased two chairs off Craigslist from a seller the said they were captains chairs ($15.00). I had them recovered using your example for a fabric.
This week another posting on Craigslist for a rocking chair version for $20 OBO. I left that for another lucky buyer
