We have quite a few Danish pieces in our warehouse, both large and small. These are all going to clean up nicely, and several will be in the store very soon. In the meantime, we're researching the pieces to find out who designed them.
My SIL is usually really good about checking for manufacturers marks and letting me know, and we do have a Frem Røjle dining set, so I'm guessing these aren't marked...but we're about to start updating the website with prices and descriptions, so I'll be sure to double-check with him.
We really lucked into this space at a great price, and it's 2 blocks down the street from the store. I love those consoles too. I would guess they'll be moved to the store soon.
The second lamp has already gone to a wonderful new home, and the buyer posted on his blog about his shopping experience with us. Check my 4/16 post to see where it resides now.
The Rope Side Chairs was designed for Frem Røjle by the Danish designer Hans Olsen (1919-1992) who was a student of Kaare Klint. I have four identical chairs in beech and a dining table also. Look for a mark in red ink "Frem Røjle - Made in Denmark" - also you could look for a sort of serial number, also in red ink.

Those particular chairs have been sold for almost 2 years, but thanks for the information all the same. If the buyer happens to read my blog, he'll be happy to know about the chairs.
I would like the rope rocker please!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it wonderful?
DeleteOooh, I especially love that desk and those beautiful teak lamps. Waiting for the fabpats sale, x
ReplyDeleteThat desk is amazing! And we're really excited about the fab.com sale too. :)
DeleteAgain, ya really got to me with the lamps. Thought of you yesterday in a big Cincy antique mall with some amazing mid mod furniture.
ReplyDeleteOther folks must agree about the lamps, because the one in the last photo sold first thing this morning when the warehouse opened. :)
DeleteAren't the "rope side chairs" also Frem Røjle? (or at least a very close copy?)

DeleteThere are some very similar ones that are "Yugo" based but if the quality is good and the price was right, it was worth it...
DeleteGreat pieces. The walnut coffee table is very nice. And the Rosewood Secretary.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen the rosewood secretary yet, and I'm dying to get over there!
DeleteI love the rosewood consoles and the lamps! Wish I had all your space...

DeleteLove the Frem Røjle dining set and the two lamps near the bottom (teak and structural.) Absolutely fantastic pieces guys.

DeleteGorgeous furniture! I had that rocker when it was new, early 1970's!
ReplyDeleteDo you remember anything about where it came from or who made it?
