It's been almost a year since I moved into the little
"modernist nest" behind my main house. Besides the obvious...that I've had lots of time to play with my grandsons...I've also had plenty of time to make pottery purchases, so it was time for the room divider to get a bit of a rearrange.
Here it is in its latest incarnation:
Here are a few close-ups of pieces that have been added since I moved in. I showed you the newest West German piece in
this post.

Love it! Aside from the new Scheurich, them chimps also climbed their way up to the divider.
ReplyDeleteYou just never know where those mischievous monkeys will turn up next. They refuse to stay put! :)
DeleteSO BEAUTIFUL! Dana, Dana... you've been having some fun. I'm so jealous of your gorgeous pottery. We NEVER find stuff like this. And the monkeys... mine are always moving around. They look so cute everywhere you put them. You are so good at the art of display. That's a gift not everyone gets. LOVELY!
ReplyDeleteMoving things around really is a lot of fun. I love trying new arrangements and making spots look fresh and interesting. Thanks for the compliment, Stacey. I've spent a really insane amount of time looking at this room divider, trying to get the right balance of color and size and texture. Some might even say I'm a little obsessive. :)
DeleteI can never set foot in your store - without a very large loan amount in my pocket.
ReplyDeleteBarbara, none of these pieces came from the store. I bought almost all of them for my own house from Etsy, eBay and Craigslist on the cheap. The two top/center vases are inexpensive pieces from Crate and Barrel, and the modern snow globe came from CB2 a couple of years ago. I'll eventually replace them with just the right pieces of vintage pottery, I'm sure. I only buy from my SIL when he gives me a super-duper close-out price on something. Otherwise, I'm still a thrifter at heart.
DeleteThat is a great divider.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Bill. It sits atop a 5 1/2 foot wall that divides my living room from my bedroom. I saw something similar in a vertical configuration on Pinterest and then drew a horizontal version modified to my needs. My contractor's guys were able to whip it out for me in no time flat. I love the way it looks.
DeleteGreat stuff, Dana! You've got quite a collection of West German pottery going there. Did you get another Zooline monkey?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nick! There are a few other pieces of pottery scattered here and there in the house, but most of it is on the divider. These are the original two monkeys I got about a year ago. They just move around a lot. :)
DeleteLove the new setup; Dana! Awsome pieces, and a great color scheme too:-)
ReplyDeleteOur favorite oranges and browns!
DeleteYou always have the "hot" pieces!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ria! I'm glad you like the contents of my little shelving unit. :)
