I frequently talk about my strong belief that good mid-century design is possible without spending a fortune. It would be nice if we could all afford pieces by the most famous designers of the period, but since that’s not the case, most of us have to figure out a way to decorate our homes more affordably…and we can, especially if we don’t take ourselves too seriously.
One of the coolest things I’ve seen in a while is a George Nelson-style bench made entirely of Lego blocks...1,400 of them, to be exact. If you want to read all about the project, check out
Humble Ablog. The story will amaze you.
